Scribe moulding is the thin, flexible strip of trim that hides the gap where your cabinets meet an uneven wall, ceiling, or floor. No wall is perfectly straight, and no kitchen is perfectly square — scribe molding is what makes a factory cabinet look custom-fit.
CNT Cabinet stocks solid wood scribe cabinet trim in Shaker White at our Norcross, GA warehouse, available for same-day pickup at wholesale prices. Contractors across metro Atlanta buy it by the box.

Frequently asked questions
What is scribe molding?
Scribe molding is a thin strip of trim, usually 1/4 in. thick, used to cover the gap between a cabinet and an adjoining surface. It is scribed — meaning traced and cut — to follow the exact contour of the wall, so an irregular surface reads as a clean, tight line.
How is scribe moulding different from a filler?
A filler is a solid piece of cabinet-grade material, typically 3 in. or wider, that closes a large gap between two cabinets or between a cabinet and a wall. Scribe molding is much thinner and flexible, meant for hairline gaps and contoured edges. Many installs use both: a filler for the gap, scribe molding to finish the edge.
How do you cut and install scribe molding?
Hold the strip against the wall, run a compass or scribing tool along the wall surface to transfer the wall's contour onto the molding, then cut along that line with a jigsaw or block plane. Sand the edge, then attach with a brad nailer and finish nails or construction adhesive.
Do you need scribe molding on every kitchen?
Nearly always. Walls in both new and older homes are rarely plumb. Without scribe trim, a visible shadow gap appears wherever a cabinet meets the wall — the most common tell of a rushed installation.
Is this scribe molding real wood?
Yes. This is solid wood scribe molding, factory finished to match our Shaker White cabinet doors, not a vinyl or PVC substitute.
