Utility pantry vs oven pantry
- Utility pantry — full-height adjustable shelving, floor to top. Maximum food and small appliance storage.
- Oven pantry — a cut-out opening sized for a single or double built-in wall oven, with drawers or shelving above and below.
Single door or double door?
Below 24 in., a single door is fine. At 30 in. and wider, one door swings too far into the room and blocks half the opening. Double doors split the swing and reveal the full interior at once.
